As the daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, a physician as well as Thelma Burnell Henson Michele Carey whose birth name is Michele Lee Henson was born on February 26, 1942 in Annapolis, Maryland in the United States of America. As a teenager, she became an expert pianist and took home a prize at the Chicago Music Festival. When she moved to Fort Collins, Colorado she moved in with her family.
